NATSAP Statement on the Department of Health and Human Services' Autism Announcement
Many have already seen the Department of Health and Human Services' recent statement on autism spectrum disorder.
As an active partner on the frontlines of the youth mental health crisis, NATSAP stands for data-driven, evidence-based practices for mental and behavioral healthcare. We believe sound science must guide policies, treatments and support for individuals and families navigating autism spectrum disorder.
We are advocates for the youth mental health community and will continue to champion approaches, treatment and programs that reflect rigorous research, ethical standards, and the lived experiences of those we serve. We stand with our member programs and partners in promoting effective, evidence-based, compassionate care that improves outcomes for young people nationwide.
We urge you to find the facts and to utilize the resources available through community resources, mental and behavioral health organizations focused on evidence-based solutions, and NATSAP treatment programs.
NATSAP – Guiding the Way. Together, we can make a difference.
